The Artist
Capitalizing on the unique creative skills of our mentor and guiding spirit, Ms. Rekha Krishan, we are able to carve a unique place for ourselves in our domain. Her wide experience and vast knowledge have helped us to attain an unparalleled position in the market offering plethora of antique designer furniture. A well trained artist, Ms. Rekha was born on January 23, 1943 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. At an early age of seven years only, she started her training in art and joined Kala Bharti in Allahabad. Exploiting her stay in New York, she took admission at the Art Students League in New York, USA for further training in art. Rekha's proficiency in art and craft was evident even at this stage. Further, she has learnt Batik from Mrs. Chakraborty of Shantiniketan. With distinguished skills in art forms, she has won many awards, interviewed by all media and received a silver medal in International Women's Year exhibition for women artists in Bombay. Few of her paintings are showcased in The Indianapolis Museum of Modern Art She has participated in various group shows and held numerous highly successful solo exhibitions also. Moreover, she has a keen interest in interior decoration, ikebana, gardening, bonsai, horticulture, music and dance. Her very own idea inspired her to bring forth the diminishing art and craft of India in the form of wooden carved furniture.
